You enter the old town through a gate in the wall called the Arco de la Cárcel, located between two towers and now home to the Arlanza D.O., representing the excellent local wines. From there, you climb the steep Calle Mayor up to the large square. Along the way, you will find the hermitage of Our Lady of Mercy and streets with arcades typical of the medieval period.
